Kate Middleton received warm welcome from king Charles as she return to royal duties after Cancer

As King Charles ramps up his return to work with the announcement of a significant event, Kate Middleton has hinted that she may return to public life this weekend. The Princess of Wales might make a surprise appearance at the King’s annual birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, on June 15th. This follows her sincere letter of apology for missing the Colonel’s Review, the final Trooping the Colour rehearsal, last weekend. As the honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards, the Princess of Wales wrote, “I sincerely apologize to the regiment as a whole but I do hope to be able to represent you all again soon.”

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has declared that King Charles will attend the Order of the Garter service at Windsor Castle next week. This event is part of the oldest and most prestigious order of chivalry in Britain. The Order of the Garter will lead a procession through the castle grounds, with the King participating.

In other news, Prince William mentioned that Princess Charlotte doesn’t like going to school right now because she’s taking her exams. During a visit to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, William shared this with the family of World War II soldier Captain Alistair Bannerman. When asked about Charlotte by Captain Bannerman’s great-granddaughter, William explained that Charlotte was taking tests that day.

One of the Royal Family’s most anticipated events of the year, Trooping the Colour, is just a few days away on June 15th. As excitement builds, fans are curious about which members of the Firm will be in attendance amidst the family’s health crises. While Middleton’s presence is still uncertain, Charles’s attendance has been confirmed.

Royal author Katie Nicholl believes a Princess Kate sighting on Saturday is extremely unlikely. Despite reports that the Princess of Wales might return to the spotlight on the Buckingham Palace balcony, Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight, “She has made it very clear that she wants to stay out of the spotlight. She needs this time off the radar and in order to recover. We have become so accustomed to seeing her from that balcony.”

Even if Middleton does not participate, her family will still stand in for her. In past Trooping the Colour events, Middleton has been accompanied by Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Although the family has remained mostly out of the public eye this year, except for George and William’s father-son soccer outing, Nicholl believes they will attend. “They’ve been up there several times now,” Nicholl said of the children’s previous appearances at Trooping the Colour. “They always behave perfectly, are frequently entertaining, and appear to enjoy it. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if William decided to bring them.”
